| Long Island, Willapa National Wildlife Refuge |
 |
Downloadable PDF The PDF is a fairly large file with enough detail for zooming in and printing at 300 dpi |
| This large island is located in the southern part of Willapa Bay in western Washington. Part of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, it is accessible only by boat and is ideal for kayaks and canoes, provided you watch the tide. Low tide reveals very large tide flats, mostly slimy, sucking and possibly dangerous mud. There are five campgrounds and miles of old roads to hike on the island, and a grove of old-growth cedars. |
